Happy Hoglet terms

Clear expectations for a shared family space.

These terms explain the rules and responsibilities that apply when you create an account or use Happy Hoglet.

Effective and last updated: August 25, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Happy Hoglet (“Happy Hoglet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to the Happy Hoglet website, application, integrations, emails, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, connecting an external service, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility, accounts, and households

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to create an account. The Service is intended for parents, guardians, and authorized adult household organizers; children under 13 may not create accounts or use the Service independently.

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms. You may not share credentials with people who are not authorized to use your account.

Household organizers decide who may join a household and what family information to add. By inviting a person or adding information about another individual, you represent that you have authority to do so. Household members may be able to view or change shared household content, so add members and information thoughtfully.

3. The Service

Happy Hoglet provides organizational features that may include calendars, tasks, reminders, family profiles, contacts, activities, lists, documents, email processing, recommendations, reports, integrations, and related tools. Features may change as the Service evolves, and some features may be identified as previews, experiments, trials, or works in progress.

You are responsible for reviewing schedules, assignments, reminders, recommendations, and other information before relying on them. The Service is not an emergency service and must not be used as the sole source for urgent, medical, safety-critical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of information and materials you or your authorized household members submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant Happy Hoglet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and modify Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and provide features you request. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for limited backup retention, legal obligations, and information that must be retained to protect the Service or resolve disputes.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit Your Content and authorize this processing. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of Your Content and for maintaining copies of information you cannot afford to lose.

5. Google and other connected services

The Service may let you sign in with or connect third-party services such as Google Calendar and Google Tasks. A connection is optional and requires your authorization. You authorize Happy Hoglet to access and act on connected data only within the permissions you approve and for the features described when you connect it.

Your use of Google and other third-party services remains subject to their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability or changes. You may disconnect Calendar or Tasks independently through Happy Hoglet’s Integrations menu and may also revoke access through the third party. Additional details about connected data appear in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively, or to harm, threaten, harass, exploit, or impersonate another person.
  • Upload malicious code, interfere with security or operation, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization, or bypass access controls or usage limits.
  • Access another account or household without permission, scrape or harvest information, or use automated means that place an unreasonable load on the Service.
  • Submit content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
  • Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, illegal content, or sensitive information you are not authorized to possess or share.
  • Reverse engineer or copy protected portions of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

We may investigate suspected misuse and remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable action to protect the Service and its users.

7. Automated and artificial-intelligence features

Happy Hoglet may use automated systems to extract information, suggest events or tasks, summarize household information, identify potential conflicts, or answer questions. These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing them and deciding whether to accept, edit, reject, or rely on them.

Do not use automated output as professional advice or as the sole basis for decisions affecting a person’s health, safety, legal rights, finances, education, or other significant interests.

8. Fees and paid features

Some features may be offered through a free trial, subscription, or other paid plan. Before charging you, we will present the applicable price, billing frequency, included features, and cancellation terms. You authorize charges you expressly approve. Taxes may apply. Unless otherwise stated at purchase, cancellation stops future renewal and access continues through the end of the current paid period; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

9. Happy Hoglet property

The Service—including its software, interface, visual design, branding, graphics, documentation, and other materials excluding Your Content—is owned by Happy Hoglet or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

10. Availability, changes, and termination

We work to keep the Service useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, third-party failures, security events, or changes may temporarily affect access. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects active users where practicable.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account or data deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, fail to pay applicable fees, or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms—will survive.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Happy Hoglet disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service or its recommendations will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Happy Hoglet and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities; or the cost of substitute services arising from or related to the Service or these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Happy Hoglet for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Happy Hoglet for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Happy Hoglet and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from Your Content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your material violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.

14. Disputes

These Terms and any dispute relating to them are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a formal claim, you and Happy Hoglet agree to make a good-faith effort for at least thirty days to resolve the issue informally by contacting the other party. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a small-claims process where eligible.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will post revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

16. General provisions

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Happy Hoglet concerning the Service unless separate written terms apply. If one provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service.
